Orkutting!

I have joined the Orkut train too! Hmmm, interesting and scary at the same time. Might end up meeting some unsavory characters been trying to avoid. Let me wait n watch. And what the hell is orkutting? Sounds like comercutting. I think that will be understood by a select few.

I am waiting fo my papers to arrive. Till that time making plans for weekends. Let’s see. This weekend I will be karting with my friends. Next weekend, I will be leaving to Tirupathi to meet Mr. Venky. The weekend after that, driving to Bangalore and Coorg. I think I have an interesting vacation lined up.

Till that time I will be “orkutting”!

Another nice hot day in Madras and atleast this time I had something to do. I am playing FIFA Worldcup Soccer! And getting my ass kicked by my friend here :( I drove to Pondicherry with my parents yesterday and it was nice. The only sucky part was when I cut my finger and it bled a bit. Other than that irritating part, everything was sweet.

I just saw about Mumbai bomb blasts in the telly. It proves my theory of man’s ultimate self-destruction. So sad. Let’s jus wait and see what the govt. is going to do.

First Agni III fails and then GSLV goes into the Bay of Bengal. In fact, there is a joke going around the mistake was not in the rocket but naming of the satellite. INSAT 4C is wrong should be INSAT for Sea! I don’t find that really funny though. Hope the dorks at ISRO now what they are doing.

One of the other news I read was this: Women could make sperm. As it is, I feel that men are going to be extinct in the next 40 years at the rate of rise in lesbianism. I mean, for what else does a woman nowadays need a man for? And now these nerds have to come up with something like this. What the hell!

I am reading Noam Chomsky’s book “Year 501: The Conquest Continues” which gives a great idea on current world politics.

Good news: Venkat got a job in Alabama. That’s great! So he will be singin’ “Sweet Home Alabama” now. I have only one line for you buddy: “Have fun in the Bible belt, bro! No alcohol on Sundays!”

My German classes are over. I had a nice time with all the guys from there. Pity that good times have come to an end. We have formed a group and have decided to remain in touch. Though the cynic inside me tells me that do not keep looking forward to it. The train has come to its destination and everyone has to look after their own business…

Sigh Prozac certainly would be useful for me right now. I met a long lost friend of mine this weekend and found out a lot about what has come and gone. So many of them are married which is a shocker, as early marriages do seem to the current trend nowadays. Let’s see…

It’s hot here in Chennai now and I am bored. I am not satisfied with the progress of my research work and neither has the University been proper in handling my papers. Looks like my departure has been shelved by 2 more weeks. I am missing my babe a lot and feelin a bit depressed. Hopefully this week I fight my depression off by trying to hookup with a friend of mine to see whether we can start a mini project. will post details about it soon.

So la la…

So la la… A beautiful term for expressing a sad mood. Apt for Argentinians… Pekerman resigns amidst acrimoy after the game… one of the most successful coaches the world has seen is resigning in a tired fashion and I can empathize with him. Most of this teams stalwarts might be seeing their last world cup game. Ayala, Sorin, Crespo to name a few. I think I am witnessing a sunset to a beautiful combination which would have worked on a different day in a diferent place… Well, as Che had put it ” Hasta la Victoria, siempre!”

I think I have had enough of soccer for the time being. My German classes are interesting and soon going to draw to a conclusion. I hope that I will get to practice my “skills” on some poor German coming along my crosshairs.

Oh Blow me Down!

Jesus H. Christ! Argentina lost!!! How can this be possible? The game was terribly unexciting till Ayala headed a beauty of a corner kick by Riquelme into the net to lead the Abicelestes by 1-0 at 49′ into the game. Then after another action packed tense 30′ Klose headed off a free kick from Ballack to level 1-1. Then it went on to penalty shootout where the Celestes lost out 4-2.

The refreeing was a bit partial towards the Germans. Lahm tackled down Maxi in the penalty box and the ref gave Maxi a friggin’ yellow card!! What in blazes is wrong with him? Then Ballack fakes a shot into his face and he gets away free… I am still fumin’ a lot!

I am so heartbroken. It’s been 20 years since I saw the Abicelestes lift the Jules Rimet. There is no God at all :(

My First Post

Hi y’all,

I have finally joined the Blogwagon! Huraah for all the beautiful things in life! It’s interesting to have an alternate personality and work my way thru the Web. Sorta like a cloak-and-dagger thingie… Anyways, I also read that blogging helps me to relax and lower my blood pressure (I jus made thatup, no specific reason to write actually!). Today is 29 July 2006 and I am waiting to see my team, Argentina play against Germany in the quarterfinal clash of World Cup 2006. Viva la Argentina!!!
